Noninvasive Cardiology:
If you smoke, have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes; you may be one of the millions of Americans with heart disease. For many people, heart disease is treatable through medical procedures and lifestyle changes. And because it can be asymptomatic, it’s important to find out if you have heart disease. At Monmouth Cardiology Associates, we offer a variety of diagnostic tests that we perform without surgery, giving us a safe and accurate means of detecting heart disease in our patients.
Echocardiography
Stress Echocardiography
Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)
Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)
Exercise Stress Test
Gated Blood Pool Scan (MUGA)
Holter Monitoring
Nuclear Stress Test

Invasive Cardiology:
Invasive cardiology is the practice of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures that involve entry into the heart or central circulation, such as cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, or electrophysiologic studies.

Interventional Cardiology:
Interventional cardiologists specialize in approved forms of therapy in the area of interventional treatment. Using the most modern techniques and equipment, balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, rotablator, and stent deployment are among the procedures we perform on patients who have coronary artery or peripheral vascular disease.

Electrophysiology Services:
Cardiac electrophysiology is the study of the heart’s electrical system. The term “electrophysiology study” or “EP study” applies to any procedure that requires the insertion of an electrode catheter into the heart. Electrode catheters are long, flexible wires that transmit electrical currents to and from the heart. The procedures may be invasive (involves puncture of the skin or small incision) and non-invasive.
